LA LETTRE
The project

A simple thesis, upheld through practice.

Many people can do things that no one has ever recognised in them. LA LETTRE exists to make these skills visible — and useful.

The reversal

We often start from the qualification and work towards the skill. We do the opposite: we start from what a person can genuinely do, in a real situation, and we build around it the proof that will make it possible to have it recognised. Skill first, recognition second.

Why "LA LETTRE"? Because a letter is something you address to someone, that says who you are and what you are worth. We help each person write their own — and have it signed by the right people.

The need, on the ground

Our two areas concentrate well-documented challenges: a large share of residents living in precarious circumstances, many single-parent families, high youth unemployment, and strong demand for guidance and access to rights. On the other side, real recruitment needs in the local labour market. The gap between the two is our reason for being.

The precise diagnostic figures are shared in our discussions with institutional partners.

Two areas

Burel — Marseille

The place where the method is deployed over the long term: a structured workshop, a skills factory designed to last and to produce proof that can be built up over time.

Carami — Brignoles

The place for the first pilot under real conditions: a tighter, measurable format, to test the method and draw the first lessons from it.

The two engines

LA LETTRE rests on a conviction about how it is organised: the public-interest mission (the non-profit association) and the tool that serves it are intimately linked by value, yet strictly separated by law and accounting. This separation is no small detail: it protects the project and the people. We explain it plainly in our safeguards.
